Discover the fascinating history of the North Porch at St Mary Redcliffe Church.
One of only three extant medieval porches to have been built on a hexagonal ground plan, the North Porch at St Mary Redcliffe stands out from the crowd. In the third Redckliffe Talk, writer and academic Dr Helen Lunnon printed a talk on the two North Porches (inner and outer) and their medieval contexts.

Wessex Archaeology has been on site this week to begin the first phase of the archaeological work on the north side of the church – in the area between the boiler room and car park - to investigate the potential for embedding ground plant associated with Air Source Heat Pumps in the churchyard.
