St Mary Redcliffe Church (SMR) is seeking to appoint a full time Verger 

You will play your part in fulfilling SMR’s calling: 

 Singing the song of faith and justice  

• as a thriving, inclusive Christian community 
• as a church that makes a difference in the parish and beyond 
• as a welcoming, recognised heritage destination 
• as a progressive and sustainable organisation 

SMR’s Verger supports the Head Verger in: 

• assisting the clergy to carry out their liturgical duties 
• ensuring all worshippers and visitors are appropriately welcomed and helped 
• with others, delivering events in church 
• ensuring everyone is safe and secure while working in or visiting the church 
• deputising for the Head Verger 

We are looking for someone who is: 

• personable 
• flexible 
• communicative 
• self-starter
