Join us this spring for an exciting series of free lunchtime recitals by musicians from around the world in one of England’s finest parish churches.
Thursday 19th March | Llewelyn Blezard-Greenwell
Llewelyn Blezard-Greenwell is an experienced recitalist, currently based in St David's, Pembrokeshire, but about to move to Beverley Minster as Assistant Organist. His programme will include a varied list of European composers, including Llewelyn's own arrangement of Bruckner's choral motet 'Christus Factus Est'.
Thursday 26th March | Friedhelm Flamme
Originally from Germany, Friedhelm Flamme has enjoyed a busy career both in education and performance and is a Professor at Detmold Academy of Music. He has made many recordings, including the complete organ works of Maurice Duruflé and his programme will feature German giants such as Buxtehude and Bach, alongside Christopher Steel's variations on a theme by the French composer, Guillaume de Machaut.
Thursday 16th April | Catriona Mackenzie
Catriona Mackenzie is an international recitalist, performing across Scotland, the UK and further afield including recent performances in Lithuania. She is a Leeds Lieder Young Artist, and Catriona is also a part of EMPOWER: Women Changing Music. Her programme will include works by Maxwell Davies, Grieg and Hopekirk.
Thursday 23rd April | Alison Howell
Bristol-based Alison Howell is a familiar face at St Mary Redclifffe. Alison is currently organist of St John the Baptist Church, Keynsham, and accompanist to the Cheltenham Choral society. Her programme will include music by Mary Beth Bennett and Brenda Portman.
