Join us for candlelit Compline services, creative workshops, and harbour walks. Sing John Stainer's magnificent Crucifixion accompanied by our world-famous church organ. Share meals, play board games, and walk with Christ through Holy Week. Children's activities, meditations, music, and joy mark our Good Friday and Easter celebrations.
Lent invites us inward. Easter calls us together. All are welcome!
Ash Wednesday
Ash Wednesday Service

A traditional sung service including receiving ashes which begins the season of Lent, the 40 days of preparation for Holy Week and Easter.
Walk & Talk Harbour Loop

Join our friendly Walk & Talk group for a refreshing loop around Bristol Harbor. Connect with others, enjoy gentle movement, and boost your wellbeing in a relaxed, supportive setting.
Compline, Candlelight & Conversation

Unwind after a week at work with a relaxing service of Compline bathed in candlelight. This is followed by a pub trip
after the service.
Board Game Club

Mothering Sunday

This Sunday we celebrate Mothers! If you are a mother or have a mother you are most welcome to this service which remembers a time when people would return to their mother church.

Passion Sunday
Bring & Share Lunch

Join us for a friendly bring-and-share lunch at church. Bring a favourite dish, enjoy good company, and share food, conversation, and community in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.
Walk the Way of the Cross

Join us as we enter Passiontide, move through the days leading up to the crucifixion and prepare ourselves to walk with Christ.
Our choir will sing pieces inspired by the themes of Holy Week, including Florence Price’s Resignation and Helen Williams Great is Your Faithfulness.
Palm Sunday
Come and Sing! The Crucifixion

Join us to sing John Stainer’s wonderful oratorio in the beautiful surroundings of
St Mary Redcliffe Church.
This poignant work will be conducted by Joe Cryan (Director of Music) and played on the church’s world famous Harrison & Harrison organ. It is free to sign up and music will be provided.
Rehearsal 2:00pm – 4:00pm with the St Mary Redcliffe Choir and soloists joining us for a full rehearsal from 4:45pm.

Maundy Thursday
Maundy Thursday Service
7:30pm Thursday 2 April
On this night the Church recalls the institution of the Eucharist on the anniversary of the Last Supper. This traditional liturgy includes foot washing and ends with the Stripping of the Altars and Vigil.
Good Friday
Litany of the Crucifixion
12noon - 3:00pm Friday 3 April
In the morning the children engage with crafts and hear the story of Easter, while preparing the Easter Garden and having a hot cross bun!
The liturgy of the day takes us to the foot of the cross, where after following the St John Passion we venerate the cross and recall Jesus’ execution. After a 45 minute liturgy at 12pm the congregation are invited to stay for meditations and music until 3pm, when the Gospel of the burial is read.
Holy Saturday
Easter Vigil
8:00pm Saturday 4 April
This ancient liturgy begins with a vigil where we hear the story of our salvation, followed by the first mass of Easter with great celebration! A prosecco reception follows as we celebrate Jesus rising from the dead!

The great festival of the Christian faith

of joy follows!
