The Textiles Embellished Tree Cones                                                             

We are proud to be a community of faith and learning. In Art and Design Technology we believe in celebrating creativity and are pleased to show off Yr9 (13/14Yr old) pupils textiles skills on our little cone tree forest. Each pupil has designed and made their own tree in their chosen style using a range of machine and hand sewing skills.



Art and Design technology develops children's skills and knowledge in design, structures, mechanisms, electrical control and a range of materials. It encourages children's creativity and encourages them to think about important issues. It provides excellent opportunities for students to apply judgements of an aesthetic, moral, social, and technical nature in their designing and to existing products and their applications. The process of creative thinking and innovation inspires students to bring out undiscovered talents, which in turn breeds a self-confidence and belief in their abilities.
