Faithspace


Our tree was made in Faithspace carpark in a Redcliffe and is a result of some of us having watched ‘Vision On’ as kids!


We used a groundsheet, fabric, old clothes, card and paper to make a large two dimensional picture of a tree and some 3D Christmas characters may have sneaked in too!


The decorations are a mixture; with some made up and some that have been used to decorate our hall in previous years, with a theme of “celebrating Christmas whatever the circumstances!”


-We photographed and filmed with a drone and were able to be carefully socially distanced. We have pondered how to celebrate safely this year, when we can’t safely meet in person and so have included lots of visual ideas. Look out for the Christmas tree in the Square, some Christmas thoughts scattered locally and a Christmas window display in our hall.


We are a Methodist pioneering project working with St Mary Redcliffe. Faithspace combines different strands; by being a community hub, by offering affordable space to the neighbourhood, by providing opportunities to engage with the Christian faith and by helping to tackle people’s needs, we help to build a sense of community locally. We are able to be a diverse group that works together in hospitality, commitment and prayer.

We have spaces to offer for hire, focussing on local and Bristol-wide issues. These incorporate educational, sports and active, support groups, arts and leisure. Under this year’s difficulties we have included “ Back to work “and other practical courses and a Foodbank run by St. Mary Redcliffe Church.


Our pattern is to work in partnership to deliver Faithspace community projects, but to support those of other organisations too, running regular coffees and drop- ins, seasonal events and including activities for all age groups and parts of the Community. We are looking to create some new patterns in 2021, building on our sense of connection in creative ways. Please come and see what we do and join the fun! We can be reached on below:
