Reformation 500

October 31 2017 was the 500th anniversary of Martin Luther posting his 95 theses on the door of the castle chapel in the German town of Wittenberg – an event that has become known as the starting point of the Reformation.

To mark this anniversary, we held an exhibition in the North Transept of the church.

The idea behind marking the anniversary of the Reformation in 2017 in Great Britain was to promote the understanding of the significance of the Reformation for British society, the church and the identity and consciousness of the Lutheran heritage.
